  Domeniul Coroanei Segarcea is a noble wine producer from Romania, in the region of Oltenia, located in Segarcea, 25km away from Craiova. Geographically, it is located  on the parallel of 44º north latitude, the dominant altitude is 145m. The vineyard in Segarcea is known as being part of the terroirs with the most significant calling for the production of red and aromatic wines, with the right to hold the A.O.C. denomination.
    Domeniul Coroanei Segarcea disposes of a 277ha vineyard, with a plant density ranging from 5000 to 6250 plants per hectare, with the purpose of obtaining small productions.
    Red varieties such as Pinot Noir, Cabernet, Merlot, Syrah and Feteasca Neagra as a Romanian variety prevail in the configuration (60 %).  There are also white semi-aromatic varieties (30%), such as: Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Viognier and Feteasca Alba, Feteasca Regala as Romanian varieties. The 10% left are represented by aromatic varieties such as Tamâioasa Româneasca and two muscat-type varieties  – Muscat Frontignan  rosé and rouge.
    Corelated  with  the  grape  quantity,  in the winery there is a processing and storage capacity made up of new, modern technique, with which controlled temperature fermentation can be performed, as well as pellicular maceration for white aromatic grapes, and a good colour and tannin extraction for the reds, by means of carbonic maceration and piston vinification.
