Distilleries was founded in 1989 by a visionary team headed up by Ioan and Viorel Micula, Swedish citizens born in Transylvania. Their aim was to bring a new generation of premium spirits to world from the beautiful setting of Transylvanian Mountains. The purity of the mountain air and water is incomparable, and our drinks capture that spirit. We wish to bottle the essence of Transylvania and ship it to the world.
